Description
The institute was initially founded as the ‘Just Start Learning Centre’ by Ustadh Qasim Musa in 2015, providing training and development courses to Syrian refugees and IDPs.
Now renamed as the ‘As-Safwah Institute’, it has grown to provide educational courses, social and physical activities, and organise events for Muslims in the UK and beyond.
Our Mission
Through immersive educational experiences, uplifting spiritual guidance, and engaging social activities, we aim to fortify the faith of our participants, instilling in them a sense of purpose, identity, and resilience.
We strive to create a supportive network of peers who uplift and empower one another, inspiring a generation of confident, compassionate, and spiritually grounded leaders committed to serving humanity and upholding the values of Islam.
Services Provided
Our courses include Immersive Conversational Arabic for all abilities, Tafsir and Hadith classes, history of Islam, a flagship in-depth history of Palestine, the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, and key Islamic personalities.

Conversational Arabic Course for Beginners – Level 1
Sign up for our flagship course! You will embark on your journey towards understanding the Qur’an by learning to speak, read and comprehend Arabic in an immersive environment.
Students are encouraged to speak from the first lesson! This course has been a favourite of our students and is suitable for all adults no matter the age. We have had students aged from 16 to 70! With all able to start to converse in less than a month!
